I received a forward from a friend at work which revealed the terrible truths about bottled water.
In summary:
Bottled water is usaully not as good as municipal tap water. Cities have very strict requirements when producing water for a population. These requirements are usually not imposed on bottled water manufacturers.
Bottled water is more expensive than tap water.
The bottles are wasteful from landfill standpoint.
Producing bottles and packaging uses energy which usually comes from a non-eco friendly energy source such as coal fired power plants.
