Setting Up an Eclipse Tomcat Environment June 15 2006
Today I had the pleasure to install a J2EE web environment on my dev box. This works very similar to Visual Studio .NET but it doesn’t cost you anything (Java Equiv.)
Here goes:
1. Download and install J2EE SDK (not JRE) (java.sun.com)
2. Download and install Tomcat (tomcat.apache.org)
3. Download and install Eclipse (www.eclipse.org)
4. Download and install EasyEclipse (SourceForge)
Put it all together and start Eclipse!
Here is a super article from IBM on the subject : http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/library/os-ectom/
Peace out.
